Using a 300 mm zoom lens on a tripod with a cable release as the exposure time was 6th of a second. This is not what would be deemed astronomical quality but gives the false impression it is bigger than it is as so close to a natural foreground whereas a few hours later it will appear much smaller high in the night sky-infact it is exactly the same size in reality.
