Qasr al-Saghah Desert 6593EG07JHP Egyptian Western Desert Scenery Sand Barren Egypt Qasr el-Siba near a small late 12th century Egyptian worker's temple, unfinished and uninscribed at Qasr al-Saghah near the Gebel el-Qatrani worker’s town servicing the basalt mines to the west of Lake Qarun and accessible only by 4x4 on specialist tours of Egypt. It is constructed of dark brown calciferous sandstone with seven cult shrines facing a common offering table room with the probable front of the temple never finished. This photo is taken near the temple and shows the bleak and desolate desert landscape that surrounds its location.
