Tomnaverie Stone Circle Scotland UP757672JHP Tomnaverie Recumbent Stone Circle Monoliths Shadows Morven Deeside Tarland Aberdeenshire is one of most spectacular of the Bronze Age of North east Scotland, located on a small hill near Tarland on Royal Deeside bathed in November afternoon sunshine over the flankers, the altar stone and outer ring of monoliths, recently excavated and partially restored by Reading University. Modern carpark with disabled access has been provided by Historic Scotland and coach layby as well and is easily reached after a short climb up metalled track.
