Caption: | Fyvie Castle Exterior Preston Tower Side Entrance Stock Library Photoof this once royal stronghold in medieval Scotland, its dates from around 1390 and is one of the finest examples of the Scottish Baronial style here looking at main entrance and the Preston Tower. A tradition throughout its ruling families means there are five towers for each family and sumptuous interiors from the 13th century to the Edwardian era are all on show. Landscaped parkland and a redeveloped 18th century walled garden are also on offer.It is a National Trust for Scotland property is situated 25 miles NW of Aberdeen on the Oldmeldrum to Turriff road [A947] and is open to the public from April to end of September and the grounds are normally open all year round.
