Auchindoir Church asd7294jhp St Mary's Church Auchindoir Cabrach interior view main door Scotland tombstones ruin romantic is reached by taking first left turning after Lumsden on road to Rhynie and Huntly in North East Aberdeenshire near Morayshire. This is the entrance approach to the ruin through the array of old tombstones viewed from the inside. This 13th Century building was later remodelled in 16th century, with a fine elaborately carved and detailed Scottish medieval door and inside it has a very beautiful sacrament house on the inside, styled like a monstrance and inserted in a lancet window - now covered by clear roof to protect it. The backdrop is the spectacular Craig Burn Den or gorge with large woodland of mature beech trees.
