Tomnaverie Spring jkl9334jhp Tomnaverie Stone Circle Recumbent spring photo Scotland monoliths Aberdeenshire located on a small hill near Tarland on Royal Deeside with a distant snow covered Lochnagar mountain viewed to the right the flankers and the altar stone, recently excavated, dated to around 1800BC and partially restored by Reading University. A modern carpark with disabled access has been provided by Historic Scotland and coach lay-by as well and is easily reached after a short climb up a prepared path.
