Caption: | Columned Court Burial Shaft Entrance Mastaba Tomb Ti Saqqarah Egypt, overseer for the building of Sun Temples at nearby Abusir for the Pharaohs Neferikare and Niuserre of the 5th Dynasty c 2498-2345BC, is on the far edge of the north Saqqara necropolis and is reached by a walk past statues of three Greek Philosophers. It is fine example of the later style of the evolution of the mastaba tomb with a pillared portico, courtyard, burial shaft and a room with Ti’s replica statue viewed through a hole in similar fashion to the serdab of King Doser by the Step Pyramid. |
