Caption: | Dendara Temple interior wall painting Osiris Nephthys Kite painted photographin the home of the Goddess Hathor, north of Luxor survives as one of the finest examples of the Late Period and the main buildings visited today date from fourth century BC in to the Roman period. It has a notable rare representation of the famous Cleopatra, some beautiful carvings and is relatively unscathed by the ravages of time, desecration and being dismantled for building materials. Around the sanctuary of Hathor at the rear innermost of the temple are a number of vestibules, shrines to various Gods all with elaborate wall reliefs from floor to ceiling. |
