Caption: | Dendara Temple Ba Hathor Crypt Ancient Egypt interior photo dedicatedGoddess, located north of Luxor survives as one of the finest examples of the Late Period and the main buildings visited today date from fourth century BC in to the Roman period. It has a notable rare representation of the famous Cleopatra, some beautiful carvings and is relatively unscathed by the ravages of time, desecration and being dismantled for building materials. Underneath the temple are a series of passageways and crypts used for the storage of sacred objects in this image the Ba statue, the essence of Hathor, and it is in the one opening into the vestibule of the Throne of Re open to the public. |
