Abydos Well 5479EG07JHP Abydos Temple Ancient Egyptian Wells washing cleaning priests stone room, situated at the most important and one of the oldest necropolis of ancient Egypt is the home of Osiris and the imposing structure in the photograph is The Temple of Seti/Sety 1 and added to by Ramses 11. These structures in the entrance courts are the remains of ablution wells supplying water for the priests to maintain the ritual purity required.
