Caption: | Balloon flight Luxor West Bank Metropolitan House Asasif khokha hillEgypt with the famous temple of Ramesses is located just beyond the hill line and is situated on the West Bank location of the Nile at Luxor. In this general area are several Tombs of the Nobles which are usually privately organised visits but very well worth the time if you have a few days to spare in Luxor. The balloon flight illustrated here was in 1994 and there were only two although in later years these increased greatly in numbers. This trip took off from the front of Hatshepsut just after dawn, a cold and interesting crossing of the Nile in the dark and long before the modern road bridge and eventually landed in the desert where the Hilton Hotel put on a beautiful breakfast buffet. |
