Caption: | Luxor Temple ancient Egyptian Triple Shrine carving Amun hieroglyphs seatedlocated on east bank River Nile at Luxor, Egypt is credited to Ramses 11 as the main builder and these are his massive granite statues at the entrance to the first pylon. Inside the Peristyle court built by Ramses and behind the pylon nearest to the Nile, ie West side is a Triple Shrine built by Thutmosis 11 to the Gods Mut, Amun and Khonsu. The cartouches are those of Ramses, Usermaatre his throne name. |
