Caption: | Colossi Memnon West Bank Luxor Napi carving seated statues Amenhotep111 that are the most famous remains of his mortuary temple on the northern side of the approach road for the Valley of the Kings, Queens and all the other main West Bank sites. It is the visitors first site of major impact, not far from the main ticket office but is usually visited as a photo opportunity on leaving - recent excavations of the site are finding many hidden buildings and artefacts. see Victorian collection for similar viewpoint. |
