This new addition was created by Artist Carn Stading and funds raised by a local restaurant owner and residents in the village saved it as a recent feature in recognition of the Moray Firth Bottlenosed Dolphins, a popular tourist attraction for many of these coastal resorts. It has a small caravan park in the next easterly bay to the harbour and with traditional 17th century period is an important part of the Coastal Trail and the history of the early fishing industry in the North east of Scotland.
