Apart from being in excellent condition generally, it offers much to see including some beautiful and detailed reliefs, the best coloured are in the second court and especially its scale. Not usually included in most standard tour packages, this temple is worth the effort to be visited privately. This was taken in 1994 on my first trip to Egypt and was the view from a balloon flight over the West Bank. This often happens during the year and is an eerie sight as the cloud creeps over the hill and moves down into the valley below and is very similar to watching a sea mist or haar creep in from the sea and move inland, something the North East Coast is prone to in the summer months. It is not unusual for Aberdeen to be shrouded in haar all day while a few miles westwards, Deeside is basking in glorious summer sunshine.
