It is located on the Banks of the River Dee in the community of Crathie mid-way between the towns of Ballater and Braemar on the A93. Lochnagar, the fourth highest mountain in Britain lies to the south of the estate. The estate and building are private belonging to Her Majesty the Queen and although open to the public for certain times of the year are not public property. Fyvie Castle Garden Scotland VR0359JHP Fyvie Castle Scultpure Nude Naked Woman Figure Centre Feature Walled Garden ornaments, sculpture and furniture of walled garden in this National Trust for Scotland property is situated 25 miles NW of Aberdeen on the Oldmeldrum to Turriff road [A947] and is open to the public from April to end of September and the grounds are normally open all year round. Once a royal stronghold in medieval Scotland, its dates from around 1390 and is one of the finest examples of the Scottish Baronial style. A tradition throughout its ruling families means there are five towers for each family and sumptuous interiors from the 13th century to the Edwardian era are all on show. Landscaped parkland and a redeveloped 18th century walled garden as also on offer.
