This was built by Major Caulfield 1752 although often called a General Wade bridge, the person who started the process many years earlier. The bridge is located just east of Braemar and this view is from eastern side of the bridge, looking upstream with the golden colours of autumn larch and silver birch. The bridge is located just east of Braemar and this view is from the northern river bank looking to the White Mounth. Located between the estates of Balmoral, south of the river and Invercauld to its north, this view is taken from the side of the North Deeside Road just beyond Invercauld House on the road to Braemar.
