Strathfinella Hills are at the foothill of the Grampians overlooking the wide flat fertile plain of The Mearns and this roadside view across to Hill Wood and over the site of Green Castle, the guardian of the entrance to the Cairn O’Mount which was later replaced by Kincardine Castle located further down on the Mearns.
