The most dramatic and vibrant period only lasts a few minutes so it is very much being in the right place at the best time but it helps having a forest or nice river scene on the doorstep but with a major mountain range to the west of Deeside, often the sun setting behind them or a large bank of rain cloud kills off the best of any last minute colour.
