Their shapes, size and often awesome sense of power make them a subject I enjoy photographing and are a truer reflection perhaps of the great mix of weather and light we have in the North East. The really colourful period seldom lasts long, maybe 15 mins, so it is very much being in the right place at the right time type of photography.
