Corse Castle Scotland asd5308jhp
Corse O'Neil Castle exterior tower walls slope height Aberdeenshire Grampian Mar spring ruin is located off B9119 Tarland road-take O誰eil Corse turnoff for a few hundred yards and is best viewed from road as very overgrown with stinging nettles and is not in good structural condition for exploring. Photograph shows exterior from the southern approach aside the adjacent pond and steep bank. Still in Forbes family, probably built around late 1580痴 by Patrick Forbes, Bishop of Aberdeen from 1564-1663. Fairly traditional Z-Plan tower-house of the area and in a state unlikely to be restored.

This particular image shows exaggerated converging verticals because of the closeness of the lens and despite it being an ultra wide focal length for given the situation of the castle to steep slopes it is not possible to get far enough away. The effect although not accurate or truth does increase the sense of height and scale.
