Tanar Water Picnic Area VS0468JHP Glen Tanar Water Entrance Aboyne Royal South Deeside Aberdeenshire North East Scotland is now a much visited place with this view near the entrance at the Bridge of Ess near an area suitable for parking and picnicing while further along is the informative Braeloine Centre with Countryside Ranger, public carpark, holiday cottages, fishing and easy access to many easy walks through ancient Scottish Caledonian Pine Forest and is a popular walking and cycling route to Mount Keen. There is a public pay and display car park mid way up the metalled road across from the centre and the main walk to St Lesmo Chapel which is popular for weddings making use of Glen Tanar House ballroom for receptions and conferences.
