Caption: | Abu Simbel Temple Ticket office gardens pink oleander flora palmtrees is the new and pleasant starting place for the walk to the Great Temple with its huge rock carved statues of Ramses 11 and his wife and daughters at what was once a River Nile site. It was reconstructed in a mammoth UNESCO rescue project in the 1960’s and is now housed in an artificial hill high enough to save it from the total flooding with the creation of Lake Nasser and situated on its shores. |
