Banff Strike Wing Memorial TO4360682JHP Banff Strike Wing memorial situated in a special lay-by in view of the old Boyndie Airfield which is now a wind turbine farm to the south of Banff in Aberdeenshire. Situated on high ground above the Moray Firth the Mosquito and Beaufighter Squadrons attacked German shipping and submarines in the last year of the war to great effect and this memorial remembers their courage and sacrifice during 1944 and 1945.
