Caption: | Recent excavations photograph Colossi Memnon Egypt West Bank Stele Luxorare finding many hidden buildings and artefacts of which the two ruined seated statues of Amenhotep 111 are the most famous remains of his mortuary temple on the northern side of the approach road for the Valley of the Kings, Queens and all the other main West Bank sites. It is the visitors’ first site of major impact, not far from the main ticket office but is usually visited as a photo opportunity on leaving and these recent finds are viewed from the roadside. |
