Caption: | Great Pit Well Deir el-Medina Workers Village Roman Water SupplyTemple Wall is located on the West Bank of the River Nile at Luxor lies to the west of Qurnet Murai hill and is the location of a workman's village with the remains of houses, streets and a Ptolemaic Temple and other chapels. The workers are known for their work in the Valley tombs which they reached walking over the Theban plateau. The photograph looks into the bottom of the Great Pit or well to the north of the village and attributed to Graeco-Roman period over a Roman nut and looking towards the Ptolemaic Temple. |
