Caption: | Dendara Temple Waterspout exterior back lion head hieroglyphs wall gargoyle,a monument which is home of the Goddess Hathor, north of Luxor survives as one of the finest examples of the Late Period and the main buildings visited today date from fourth century BC in to the Roman period. It has a notable rare representation of the famous Cleopatra, some beautiful carvings and is relatively unscathed by the ravages of time, desecration and being dismantled for building materials. This photo is of one of the waterspouts on the rear outer wall. |
