Falls Feugh Autumn SO20034jhp Scottish Autumn Falls River Feugh Banchory Kincardineshire waterfall trees water rocks at famous Royal Deeside falls taken from footbridge near Banchory. This photo was taken in 2003 and was one of my early digital photographs using the Fuji S2Pro, a camera I had tested and decided to switch to fulltime giving up slide film. A recent upgrade of the public viewing footbridge by the old road bridge has had additional interest by the creation of a wooden sculpture created for the ‘selfies’ as an alternative to allowing padlocks to be attached to the wire screens which was becoming a safety hazard given the accumulated weight. The viewing area is very popular for watching the salmon leaping up the falls on their annual migration to the spawning beds in the burns that feed the Water of Feugh especially in the Forest of Birse.
