Banff is a town with a history dating back to the 12th century and was granted a charter by Robert the Bruce in the 14th Century. Once a thriving herring fishing port it is now a quiet town catering more to tourism with its excellent golf course, marina and has several sandy beaches. It is reckoned to be one of the driest and sunniest locations is Scotland. This property is owned by the Council and is open to the public.
