| Caption: | Aboyne Deeside Aberdeenshire Scotland Millennium gates summer gean blossom springviewed at the heart of this mid Deeside town lying between Aberdeen and Braemar on the River Dee on Royal Deeside and in the springtime there is always a vibrant display of daffodils on the small embankment adjacent to the Green, a large public park in the centre of the town. Aboyne is a popular tourist stopover with shops, restaurants, hotels, two golf courses, nearby gliding at Dinnet and is busy throughout the summer months with long established Highland Games situated on the Green and a recent and very successful Arts Festival based around a thriving Community Centre, Theatre and the Victory Hall. |
