Caption: | Bennachie summer barley closeup crop golden Donside Aberdeenshire Scottish photographin the North East with a view from road looking northwards to Bennachie from the Backhill junction on the Dunecht to Craigearn road before you reach the Castle Fraser entrance. This view looks over the River Don near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire North east Scotland. The distinct shape of the hilltop is the Mither Tap on which are the remains of a vitrified stone Pictish fort and for large part of North east is a useful location marker as to the position of Inverurie, the largest rural town on the banks of the river. |
