Kintore Town Hall wyy9235jhp Kintore Town Donside Aberdeenshire Scottish flowers displays colours House summer situated near the River Don but now bypassed on the main Aberdeen Huntly road before reaching Thainstone and Inverurie. It is a town with a long historical importance with its Burgh claim dating to Kenneth 11 although no actual document exists. The Town House in this photo dates from 1737 and took ten years to build under the charge of the Earl of Kintore. Adjacent to the flat floodplain for the river there is evidence of ancient occupation with a recently excavated Stone Circle on Truach Hill supporting this.
