Mearns Farmland fgh3890jhp Auchenblae Mearns west Drumtochty Glen Aberdeenshire Scotland summer harvest bales viewed from the southern approach to the village from the main A94 Aberdeen to Dundee either at Fourdon or coming off the B966 Fettercairn Road. Towards the right of this view is Drumtochty Forest and Glen with the charming road that links Auchenblae in the Howe of Mearns with the main B974 Cairn O’Mount road opposite the Clatterin Brig restaurant. This road passes St Palladius Church and Drumtochty Castle in Glen Drumtochty which has interesting Forest Enterprise walks through mixed mature woodland and after leaving the forest the road enters Strathfinella passing this delightful loch near Glensaugh, used for fishing and often visited by ducks and swans.
