Along the promenade are restaurants, berths of cruiseboats, ferry landing areas and to the south the Municipal Gardens which are above these boulders in this photo, the Coptic Cathedral and the old and new Cataract Hotels, the former of course made famous in the film Death on the Nile seen to the right.
