Often the shapes and range and vibrancy of the colours defies descriptions and can only be seen to be believed; my experience is that this phase only lasts for at most 20 minutes so it is often being in the right place at the right time and best photographed using a tripod as the light levels mean longer exposures especially at best quality ISO settings.
