The distinctive hill with its prominent tor outcrop of rock is visible from much of lower Deeside and clearly from the road after a steep climb from the Old Dye Brig which then winds through larch forest of Glen Dye Estate before reaching the single track Spital Bridge the bane of many a lorry and coach drivers life.
