Loch Muick to Broad Cairn rty0544jhp Loch Muick Scotland autumn Dubh Royal Lodge Cairn Glas-allt-Shiel waterfall on the eastern shore of to the south of Ballater in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland. There is a complete and relatively easy walk round the loch and in the distance is the Royal Lodge of Glas-alt-shiel surrounded by forest with the highest peak of the Broad Cairn off to the left but facing is the huge cliff face of the Creag an Dubh Loch in front of Cairn Bannoch viewed from the Blackburn at the lochside.
