Caption: | Dendara Temple exterior reliefs ancient Egypt gods neith shield arrowson the east wall of this monument dedicated Goddess Hathor located north of Luxor and survives as one of the finest examples of the Late Period and the main buildings visited today date from fourth century BC in to the Roman period. It has a notable rare representation of the famous Cleopatra, some beautiful carvings and is relatively unscathed by the ravages of time, desecration and being dismantled for building materials. This photo is of reliefs on outside of the east wall of the main temple with an interesting representation of the Goddess Neith on the right and above her her shield and crossed arrows who was Goddess of war and hunting. |
